Reb Noson was a main disciple of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, the founder of the Breslov Chasidic dynasty. Rabbi Noson is particularly recognized for his efforts in preserving and spreading Rabbi Nachman's teachings, including writing down Rabbi Nachman's lessons and wisdom in Likutey Moharan. His own works, such as Likutey Tefilot and Likutey Halachos continue to be widely studied in Breslov communities.

Passing Letter to the men of Tchrin It mentions that shortly before his passing Reb Noson declared that even the most severe sinner, Heaven forbid, if he clings himself to Rebbe Nachman, he will for sure end up repenting and will receive a rectification.[1]
